Rizal Medical Center is a Gold Awardee of the Department of Health's Ospital ng Bayan: Malinis, Mabango campaign that was held at the DOH gym. The new DOH campaign aims to eliminate unclean toilet facilities and untidy premises in all government hospitals. The winners were judged according to identified indicators such as polished floors, dust-free walls, clean linens, well-kept kitchen utensils, equipment and food warmer, cigarette butt-free parking area and outside vicinity, proper waste segregation, adequate lighting, ventilation, and water supply in all sections, absence of insects/rodents in all areas and absence of vendors in its outside vicinity. Hospitals accumulating 50-75% points were awarded a bronze banner, 76-89% a silver banner and 90-100% a gold banner.
